Subject: What the heck!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this thing???

I was feeding my tank tonight a saw this "smoke cloud" floating around
size of a quarter, fish went nuts trying eat it?
Also saw this light orange long round worm like thing (was not flat)
come out from inside of a very smooth live rock piece, the whole in the
rock was the same size in dia. as this thing, it crawed out of the
whole like eels do but not all the way and grabed a piece of shrimp and
quickly went back in whole.this guy was thick as a toothpick maybe a
little thicker, 3 inches at least came out, I freaked out!! What was it
this creepy thing?

He is not smooth like a peanut, more hard looking hairy/legs, he comes
out when the fish are not around his whole, and grazes on the rock,
getting left overs he clearly has a head but no tinticals. My lights
are on and he is out, but again does not come all the way out

Sounds like a peanut worm. Not sure about the "smoke cloud".

It was a worm. The smoke cloud was eggs. You know it is
eggs or sperm, and since the fish were going after it,
it's eggs.
