I am faced with a burgeoning problem of Valonia in my tank. Any tips on how
to rid myself of these little unsightely pearls of green?

Any solutions other than by hand? I have read about emerald crabs eating the
stuff, but like you, mine (emerald crabs) did not look at it. I am thinking
about buying a dozen of the little guys to see if anyone of them touch it.

check to see if the LFS has any actually eating the bubble algea. I work at
a LFS and the owner keeps quit a few emeralds in his tank by them self and
he adds any rubble or rock that has bubble algea on it. We also feed mysis
2-3 week.

Same here. I had 3 in a 75 reef and none of them ever looked twice at
it.
