Subject: Bristleworm question

Hi, guys
I'm thinking about buying live rock and sand from other guy. However, the
population of a bristleworm is so high that I cannot even count them. Is it
possible to eradicate them all? If so, how?

Why would you want to remove all of them? They are great detrivores and
you will only have as many as there is food for them to eat. They are
really good to have for your aquarium.

In case of very heavy population, can they remove all bristleworms from the
aquarium?
I'm thinking about flesh water dip for live rock. Does it work?

You really wouldn't want them ALL gone. They're great to have around
(good detrivores), but in tanks where they are allowed to get out of
control, they can be a problem, and large ones are inclined to nibble
on corals. Check out www.oregonreef.com for a serious worm horror
story.
If you get an arrow crab, or better, the dottyback already
recomended, the bristleworm population will be kept in check, so long
as you don't overfeed, which is a great way to trigger a population
explosion.
As far as dipping the LR, you're likely to turn it in into MDR.
