I'm thinking of buying a Tunze 6060. Anyone out there have one? How much noise
do they make?

They are very quite and very good pumps, just very expensive. I would
suggest though that you look at the eco-tech pump also it is more
expensive, but it comes with a controller and the motor for the pump is
outside of the water, so there is basicly no heat added to the aquarium.

Thanks; I'd never heard of them before. They're certainly impressive. The only
disadvantage to them I can see (besides the cost) is that they pull about twice
as much power as the Tunze does. Gotta think on this one.

The reason they use more power is because the motor in on the other side of
the glass and there is energy loss there. Sure they run cooler but I never
heard of a tunze overheating a tank. Usually it is the lights that cause
the heat issues.

Also keep in mind that both of these pumps are designed for bigger tanks
genneraly 100 gallons plus.

Thanks. I have a 125. I ordered a Tunze last week from my favorite LFS.
