Subject: Algae on GSP
Ok, 11:00 am tank looks great. Green star polyp 90% opened. By 7:00 pm
algae all over my tank, both brown and some green. But my GSP
completely closed and some green algae on it. could not adress it right
away so by like 8:30pm my tank is covered with brown algae and some
green algae. Never had a problem with green algae. Some brown always
but nothing a routine water change could not fix. I take a syringe and
try to blow some off but nothing. Is my GSP dead. It was beautiful this
morning. I plan on doing a water change tomorrow but I work overnight
so I wasent able to do one. Replaced all the filter media immediately.
any help is needed. Only a 6LW and CBS and the cleaning crew. Lowered
lights to 10hr. total. Thanks

LOL, im using instant ocean.lol. Large as in 20% or more? how can I
prevent such an outbreak? Do you think my powerheads are positioned
incorrectly? I also have 8 night time LED's. They're not the problem
are they?I'm already running the 10K and actinics only 9 hr./day.

Large, as in 50% or more.

No, the led's are not causing a problem.

Some of us here are very new to the hobby so can you please tell me what
GSP and CBS mean? Is 6LW a six line wrasse?
