Anyone had any experience using these? Can recommend a brand? Know what
the ideal O2 levels are for goldfish?

I've been toying with the idea of using real plants, so I would have to stop
using my air pump at least during the day. But I still want to make sure
the fish are getting enough O2, before a lack or oversupply becomes a
problem.

Thanks,
EOtter

I dont know why you would have to stop using the air pump during the day. I wouldnt
recommend doing that for the sake of the fish. CO2 dissolves in the water besides
being a gas. It is independent of how much O2 there is in the tank. Ingrid

I think EOtter meant that the live plants produce oxygen during the day
(light = photosynthesis), but don't at night. You can shut off the pump
during the day, but you could also leave it running if you wanted. I don't
think there is such thing as giving the fish *too much* oxygen <G >. I think
it is more important to make sure it's on in the PM. I would probably
forget to turn it on, so I'd be more apt to leave it on 24/7. I have a few
java ferns in my tanks, but not enough to product lots of oxygen so my pump
stays on. If there were more, I think it would be ok to shut it off in the
AM.

1) They work.
2) I believe I have the Tetra set. (Too lazy to actually go check.)
3) Saturated.
